It is interesting that we, as humans, are so often conflicted with “what we ask for.”  If I ask for a day off from work, it means that I wish to not have to go to work.  But when I get that day, and I have to spend it running errands, I feel like there was no break.  I might as well have worked because I would have been paid.  As a parent, I don’t feel like I spend enough quality time with my children, individually.  But when I find some time in the car to talk to them, I have so many things on my mind that I just can’t focus.  Need time with the spouse?  We spend it talking about the kids.

This doesn’t happen all the time, and every family, every person, has their unique circumstances that these quiet contradictions affect.  So, for the next week, my goal is to NOTICE these issues cropping up and find out how different the results become.  I challenge everyone to find the area that THEY struggle with, and PAY ATTENTION!  Make an active effort to alter the results!

ONE WEEK.  GO!  (Then, let us all know how it went.)
